The Dar es Salaam case study report looks at the largest city in Tanzania that is host to urban refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, and other countries in the region. The report examines the vulnerabilities of these urban refugees and the difficulties they encounter in accessing basic services in the city. It also considers their integration with the Tanzanian urban poor, with whom they live side by side in the informal settlements of the city.
