Institutional and Context Analysis

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and those of your colleagues on managing risks in development interventions. While we have been doing risk management in UNDP for a while, as you stated, it is important to keep risk management on the agenda and remind ourselves of its importance to work planning, monitoring and results.

As the Technical Paper states, institutional risk management has not been included due to the Paper’s limited scope. This reminds me, as does your blog, that the Institutional and Context Analysis (ICA) might be useful in complementing UNDP’s risk management matrix (also for projects) and the Technical Paper on Risk Management for Capacity Development Facilities.
